Products I Love

Tried, tested and OT-recommended.

The sleep, sensory and regulation tools I most often suggest to families of children with ADHD, autism and sensory differences. No product replaces a tailored plan, but the right environment and sensory supports can make settling and staying asleep feel more possible.

Sound & White Noise

A consistent sound environment can make a real difference for children who are sensitive to noise or wake to household sounds. White noise creates a steady auditory backdrop that many children find settling.

What to look forContinuous play rather than a timer that switches off, volume control, and simple operation so it's not another stimulating thing at bedtime.

Sleep Environment

Light is one of the biggest signals to the brain that it's time to be awake, so getting the bedroom environment right matters enormously.

What to look forBlackout curtains or portable stick-on blinds for travel, amber or red-toned night lights, and keeping blue and bright white light out of the hour before bed.
Portable blackout blinds

Blackout Blinds

One of the simplest, highest-impact changes you can make to a sleep space. A properly dark room reduces visual stimulation and keeps early summer sunrises and streetlights from cutting sleep short, especially for light-sensitive kids.

Sensory & Regulation Tools

Deep pressure and familiar sensory input are two of the most useful supports for helping an activated little body wind down toward sleep.

What to look forWeighted blankets at roughly 10% of your child's body weight, compression sheets for whole-body deep pressure, and body socks or sensory sacks for pre-bed regulation play.

Not sure where to start?

If it all feels like a lot, start with one area. For most families, the sleep environment (blackout plus white noise) is the place to begin. And if you'd like guidance matched to your child's specific sensory profile, that's exactly what I do.
